XOX DATA ROAMING

 

Each Subscriber agrees that he/she has read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon subscribing to XOX Data Roaming Plan. The use of the Plan is subject to the Postpaid General Terms & Conditions, Postpaid Specific Terms & Conditions, XOX Fair Usage Policy, and any other applicable terms and conditions on the official oneXOX Website at www.onexox.my and as may be modified from time to time by XOX.  

 

INTRODUCTION

XOX Data Roaming is a roaming plan offered by XOX for travellers who wish to subscribe to a data only plan while they are abroad.

 

PRODUCT INFORMATION

1.       The details of the XOX Data Roaming Plan are as follows:

 

 

2.       XOX Data Roaming Plan is available to all Prepaid and Postpaid Subscribers.

3.       XOX Data Roaming Plan is not available for Subscribers of ONEfamily Plan, SISWA PLUS Plan and XOX Family 59 Plan.  

4.       XOX Data Roaming Service started from May 2019 until further notice.

5.       Please find the list of countries available for XOX Data Roaming below:

 

 

 

ACTIVATION AND CHARGES FOR PREPAID SUBSCRIBERS

1.       These are the steps required to be taken to subscribe and activate XOX Data Roaming for Prepaid Subscribers:

STEP 1: Subscribers need to ensure that they have sufficient credit in their Prepaid account.
STEP 2: Go to phone settings, look for Access Point Name (APN), and manually set it to “XOX”.

STEP 3: Switch on Data Roaming in phone settings.

STEP 4: Connect to roaming country network operator.

STEP 5: Subscribe to XOX Data Roaming Plan.
 

2.       Prepaid Subscribers may subscribe to XOX Data Roaming Plan via:

a.       USSD Easy Menu: Dial *150# to subscribe

b.       SMS: Send “DATA ROAM” to 22111/23388
(Roaming SMS charges sent from overseas apply, subject to 6% SST charge)

3.       Data roaming will be activated once all the steps stated above have been completed. RM38 will be deducted from Subscriber’s Prepaid account (subject to 6% SST charge) and Subscribers will be credited with 500MB/day.

4.       XOX Data Roaming Plan is on a daily subscription basis.
 

5.       The subscription to the XOX Data Roaming Plan will commence as soon as Subscriber switches on “Data Roaming” at their phone setting. The subscription shall be made available to Subscriber until the expiry time which follows the local validity time 11.59PM (GMT +8) on the same day.

6.       If Subscriber fully utilized 100% of the Data Roaming Quota BEFORE the expiry time or local validity end time, Subscriber will NOT be able to use data until end of the daily data roaming subscription at 11.59PM (GMT +8). However, Subscriber may resubscribe to XOX Data Roaming Plan on the same day.

 

ACTIVATION AND CHARGES FOR POSTPAID SUBSCRIBERS

1.       These are the steps required to be taken to activate XOX Data Roaming for Postpaid Subscribers:

 

STEP 1: Subscribers need to ensure that they have sufficient balance (credit limit) in their Postpaid account. 
STEP 2: Go to phone settings, look for Access Point Name (APN), and manually set it to “XOX”.

STEP 3: Switch on Data Roaming in phone settings.

STEP 4: Connect to roaming country network operator.

2.       Data roaming will be activated once all the steps stated above have been completed. RM38 will be charged to their Postpaid account (subject to 6% SST charge) and Subscribers will be credited with 500MB/day.

3.       XOX Data Roaming Plan is on a daily subscription basis, unless disabled by Subscriber.
 

4.       The subscription to the XOX Data Roaming Plan will commence as soon as Subscriber switches on “Data Roaming” at their phone setting. The subscription shall be made available to Subscriber until the expiry time which follows the local validity time 11.59PM (GMT +8) on the same day.

5.       If Subscriber fully utilized 100% of the Data Roaming Quota BEFORE the expiry time or local validity end time, Subscriber will NOT be able to use data until end of the daily data roaming subscription at 11.59PM (GMT +8).

6.       If Subscriber fully utilized 100% of the Data Roaming Quota BEFORE the expiry time or local validity end time, Subscriber has the option to either:

a.       Hold until Auto Renewal the next day (12.00AM, GMT +8), or

b.       Resubscribe to XOX Data Roaming Plan on the same day.

 

AUTO RENEWAL

1.       The Auto Renewal function is available for Postpaid Subscribers only.

2.       Subscriber shall ensure that their Postpaid account has sufficient balance for the charges incurred for Auto Renewal of XOX Data Roaming Plan.

3.       The charges will be automatically deducted from their Postpaid account and the Subscriber shall be able to enjoy the XOX Data Roaming Plan subscription immediately.

RESUBSCRIPTION

1.       The resubscription feature for XOX Data Roaming Plan is available for both Prepaid and Postpaid Subscribers.

2.       Subscribers may resubscribe via:

a.       USSD Easy Menu: Dial *150# to resubscribe

b.       SMS: Send “DATA ROAM” to 22111/23388
(Roaming SMS charges sent from overseas apply, subject to 6% SST charge)

 

3.       In the event that the Subscriber has opted to resubscribe, the Subscriber shall be charged RM38 (subject to 6% SST charge) for 500MB/day and the Data Roaming Service shall end on the same day at the local validity time at 11.59PM (GMT +8).

CHECK DATA ROAMING BALANCE

Subscribers may check their Data Roaming Balance via:

a.       USSD Easy Menu: Dial *150# to check balance

b.       SMS: Send “ROAM BAL” to 22111/23388

(Roaming SMS charges sent from overseas apply, subject to 6% SST charge)

 

DISABLING AUTO ACTIVATION

1.       The Disabling Auto Activation function for XOX Data Roaming Plan is available for Postpaid Subscribers only.

2.       Subscribers may disable Auto Activation of XOX Data Roaming Plan via SMS. Send “OFFROAM” to 23388 (Roaming SMS charges sent from overseas apply, subject to 6% SST charge).

 

3.       To successfully disable Data Roaming Auto Activation without additional charges, Subscriber must ensure to send in their request BEFORE they travel overseas. Subscriber must contact Customer Careline at +603-7800 0033 from an XOX Number to send in their request to disable Data Roaming Auto Activation.

 

4.       Subscribers may also contact Customer Careline while overseas in the roaming countries. To contact Customer Careline or any Malaysian number beginning with +60, the roaming rates are as shown below:

 

ROAMING CALL HOME RATE

Instructions to Perform Roaming Call:

 

Type +<Country Code><Mobile Number> on your phone keypad and click on “CALL”.

Example: Type +6010300XXXX and click on “CALL”.

CALL RATE

The call rates vary by destination, are billed in 60-second intervals, and are subject to 6% SST.

OPERATORS LIST

 

To deactivate Call Roaming services, please contact our XOX Customer Careline at 12273 (from XOX Number), 1300 888 010 (from Malaysia), and 603-78000033 (from Abroad) between 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM daily.

 

OTHERS

1.       If you did not connect to the correct roaming country network operators (as listed above), you will still be charged RM38/day (subject to 6% SST charge). However, you will not be able to utilize the Internet.

2.       The Data Roaming is not transferable to any other XOX Subscribers.

3.       The Data Roaming cannot be carried forward upon expiry.

4.       Roaming SMS charges apply and vary by destination country, subject to a 6% SST. Accessing the USSD Easy Menu via *150# will not incur any charges.

 

5.       XOX reserves the right to change, amend, modify, suspend, continue, terminate, and/or add all or any Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

6.       Where the Terms and Conditions are translated into a language other than the English Language, in the event of any inconsistencies, conflicts, or discrepancies between the terms and conditions set out in the English Language version and that of the other language(s), the English Language version shall prevail.

7.       XOX reserve the rights at any time, without being liable to the Subscribers or any third party, to interrupt, bar, suspend, or restrict the Plan for such time as we see fit or terminate, discontinue, or disconnect the Service if your usage:

a.       Shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on our Network;

b.       Is for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;

c.       Is not in accordance with the XOX Fair Usage Policy; or

d.       Is for commercial/non-personal purposes.
